Tornado drill

Nate ended up in the hospital for a week. So very grateful they were able to switch him to oral antibiotics for his bone infection. Otherwise we would have been there for 4-6 weeks to receive the full course of antibiotics via IV.  Done that once before (blood infection).

He had surgery:

I have to admit I’m jealous of the awesome scar Nate will have soon.

One of the nights the hospital was put under a tornado warning. All of the patients were moved to the hallways. Nate loved the chance to socialize.
He had been drowsy all day but perked right up when he heard all of the parents and patients chatting while we waited for the tornado to pass. It was small and a mile or two  away.

We’re home now and doing fairly well!
