Wow. 2015 was a little busy. Sorry!!! Here are some photos in random order of the year:
| Hannah's EEG. She used my phone to watch the nurse put all of the wires on her head. |
| The wires kinda make a cool statement! |
| The mummy wrap? Not so much. |
| Proof!! |
Ready for the story? Probably our most dramatic one of the year. About a week after Hannah's 10th birthday, she and Hyrum decided to get their own library cards. We spent about an hour at the library, and then while Hannah was signing her new card, she suddenly went rigid and fell straight backwards to the ground and had a seizure. It was brief, about a minute including the time to "wake up", and she was pretty coherent afterward (but very dazed, mentally sluggish, and nauseous.) So we spent a couple hours in the ER just keeping an eye on her, and followed up with the EEG and visit to the neurologist. Results were normal (yea!!) but since she is related to Nate (who has a severe form of epilepsy) they want to watch her more closely. She can't climb trees or use the top bunk of a bed or bathe alone for six months, and we have an emergency med just in case. But, odds are pretty good that this will be her only seizure.
We just needed a third pediatric neurologist. ;oP Hyrum, don't you dare make it four!!
Now, onto more fun stuff:

I don't take the kids out much, and when I do, I rarely take photos. My hands are too full, and I'd rather have my kids experience things than repeatedly pose. (Rusty is the more fun parent, who not only takes them on adventures but works in cool photo opportunities.) However, I took three of the kids to the pumpkin patch this year and had to try- because it is seriously a very cool place! I didn't even get a shot of the treehouses (5 or more, connected with walkways and platforms), or the old black milk truck that is covered in kids' chalk drawings (everyone gets to color on it!), or half of the animals, or the zip line, or the hay slide, or....it was huge. And waaaaay fun. And the owners are geniuses- they don't charge for adults, just kids. This way families will bring parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles galore, resulting in a lot of free adult supervision. Genius I say!!

I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee
Won't my mommy be so proud of me?
I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee.. |
| OUCH! It stung me!! |
Hyrum, of course, had to try it. Well, he wanted to pet it. They are so fluffy!
It was so cold outside, the bee was still there when we went out to take pictures. Hyrum was a good sport, once the bandaid was in place.
Random photo of us.
We had just set up the trampoline.
I didn't want a trampoline...but Rusty won this one.
And he was probably right.
Hannah was a tiger.
Hyrum was a Hufflepuff student. |
Naomi as Raggedy Ann. She would only wear the hat while sleeping.
If I look tired: this Halloween party was the evening after Hannah's seizure.
We didn't get a photo of Nate because he lost his hat, but he was a construction worker with a tool belt on his lap. He was intrigued by the new textures of his tool belt, but didn't care for the hat. |
| Nate loves his bean bag chair. |
| We had a day camp for our small pack of Cub Scouts at our house this year. It actually went really well!! |
After soccer practice. Hannah loved soccer- and it was so non-competitive, she never knew the score after any games. (They didn't hide the score, but she just didn't care to find out.)
Anyway, these two loooove to play together, so this is a familiar scene. I think they are looking at bugs.

| Lloyd family reunion fun! |
Nate and Naomi at the zoo in IF. Nate is an awesome big brother who gives the best piggybacks ever.
| Yellowstone. Love that it is on the way home from our annual trip to see grandparents. |
Martin's Cove. Also on the way home...if you get creative with maps.
| Wallowa Lake- yes!! |
